I am not a student at owu, butSuper Brilliant
I am not a student at owu, but thought i might add my impressions from my college visit. they have student-run things in the early evening that are essentially free and then there's parties after that. once in awhile they'll go into the city (delaware) i guess but there's always a lot to do on campus. people were mad chill, i mean of course it's a very intellectual school, but it's not like you will be studying on a friday night (unless that's your thing lol). there were some really cute guys; the girls were so sweet. you don't feel pressured to drink if that's not your thing.. everyone's close, i mean the athletic teams seem to be particularly close but everyone seemed to get along..

Question
As a current student at Ohio Wesleyan, IQuite Bright
As a current student at Ohio Wesleyan, I feel particularly prepared to write a review on the college. Ohio Wesleyan is an imperfect institution with all the typical trappings. Administrators are not always in tune with the needs/wants of the students. Students are not always consulted about decisions affecting them. The food sucks. However, what I think differentiates OWU from many other schools is the constant struggle over these issues. Wesleyan students recognize the imperfections of our institution and work to change them. We constantly regard our campus as a community of which we are all a part; problems here are *everyone's* problems, and solutions necessarily need to include everyone. What makes Ohio Wesleyan a beautiful place to live, work, and learn is this element of community; while it may not be realistic to expect to live in such a close, positive community in the real world, it's a welcome opportunity for a college career.

Question
I'm currently a junior and really enjoy theNot so bright
I'm currently a junior and really enjoy the diversity and freedom here at Ohio Wesleyan. The distribution requirements are not too difficult to complete. Most professors are really good teachers, and are enthusiastic about teaching. Housing is really nice, I have a single, and most people have their own room in two-room doubles (two rooms with one door connecting them and share one door out to the hallway) or share a room with another person. The one-room doubles are fairly spacious too. Program housing and apartments are available after first year. Some people can live off-campus after their sophomore year. The best thing is probably the SLU housing. Food is ok. It's cafeteria food, what do you expect? However, the points system is pretty nice. The town (Delaware) is just one street. There's no nightlife in the town, but trust me, there's plenty to do on campus. The only reason to go downtown is for banking (we do have ATM on campus though.) Overall, I'm totally enjoying myself here, and don't judge Wesleyan base on other peoples opinion. Why should you believe me? Just come for a visit, and maybe you'll like it here as much as I do. Good luck in your college search!!
