Lots of great people, but you have to find them. You can have a lot of fun with the city and there's plenty of opportunities for everything—if you go to it. Nothing will really be thrown at you or even come to you, you have to work for it.

Find good teachers, get involved, know the professors, go to class (easier said than done), but remember to do stuff you want to do. You're in NYC.. limitless possibilities.
