I personally feel like I don't belong here at BU. Many of the students are from rural PA, where there is nothing to do but drink and get laid, so coming here is the best thing thats ever happened to them. If youre from the city or a more suburban area, and actually have goals and ambitions in life, chances are you'll hate it here. I never had a problem making friends in high school, but I can't even hold a conversation with the people here. The only thing students care about here is getting drunk and going to frat/sorority parties. I'm not a straight A student by any means, but it astonishes me how little most of the students from rural PA know. I knew there would be some difference between the students from less educated areas and ones from better educated areas, but it is ridiculous how uneducated some of these people are. As well as being ignorant, the students here are extremely cliquey. If you did not come here with a group of friends from high schools, you will have a very hard time meeting people. So, if your interested in being drunk 24/7, joining a frat or sorority, or feeling like your in highschool all over again, this is the place for you.

I'm a new transfer student here and I can't say I totally agree with the comments here. Not everyone drinks and not everyone is clicky. For me personally I've been to a party nor have most of my friends. I have found that some of the students with liberal arts majors to not be the smartest but bloom isnt really known for that either. I'm in the college of business and everyone cares about their education in these majors, otherwise they wouldn't be able to keep up in the COB.
