Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time)
UIC is a commuter school but I live on campus in Courtyard (don't pick courtyard unless you're a stoner)I am on the first floor and people smoke in the courtyard every night. my room smells and it sucks. But the dorms are pretty fun most nights. It's not your typical university but it does the job. Theres no football but I go to soccer games a lot. They give out lots of free stuff at sporting events to get people to go. My professors are okay, they aren't amazing. My calc class is a waste of money and I basically teach myself. English is easy, take Girman. I get really good grades without having to kill myself. Some english professors are jerks i heard but mine is fine. Chem is easy too. Take Hatfield, she is really nice and gives easy exams. The people here are mostly commuters, like i said, but when they leave, UIC feels smaller and better. If you commute, you'll still make friends in class, on the train, or if you sit next to someone and just start talking. It's not very hard to make friends since most people are nice and friendless too. I picked UIC because I wanted to live in the city. Chicago is bomb! I go to concerts, poetry slams, parties, art shows, meet famous people, and pretty much anything else (you get a upass which lets you ride trains and buses. it's great! makes me feel grown up lol) Once and a while, i regret not going to Urbana but then i realize that I hate greek life (which is lame at UIC. DON'T DO IT. You'll look stupid)and thats all Urbana is. Chicago is a world-class city, UIC is a good school and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
