If you were an independent strong student in high school, you will have no problem here. The professors are helpful, the campus is beautiful, and the Math and Science Help (MASH) program is great. I am doing extremely well here academically. There are a lot of nerds and fat/ugly girls who absolutely despise anyone that is skinny and good looking. The only problems are the surrounding area near school can be dangerous to walk any time of the day or night alone and the campus police hound everyone on Friday and Saturdays to see if you have been drinking at all. Dorm life can be fun if you don't have a anal retentive, controlling freak for an RA. You will learn at this school. Make sure that you are not so involved in activities that you are unable to study. If you came for an engineering degree, then you need to study. The classes are small and there is always someone willing to help you study, including the professors. There are some a**holes here among the students, just avoid them as you would any other school. If you are looking for anonymity, this school may be too small. There are some cute guys, but most of them are jocks and more concerned with getting drunk and messing around. If you want to leave with a great science/math degree, job opportunities, and strong group projects and work portfolio, this is the place.
