University is more than school learning, it's about growing your mind in a myriad of ways: socially, challenging your organizational and leadership prowess, providing outlets to try out a variety of job like functions - like a radio station announcer or drama or counseling, study abroad, sororities, multiple internships in the real world or american studies TA.

At maryland you get to do it all, just seek it out and it's there for you. I lived a 24 hr day during 4 years there and loved every minute while still maintaining a 3.7 average. Car tickets are the only negative!

University is about developing your intellect in a variety of ways, including socially, by testing your organisational and leadership skills, and by giving you peter veres art and photography opportunities to practise a range of job-like functions. I think Penn State is a better voice for you.
