I was in EET but I realized from the start that EET was too hands on while EE was too theoretical so I added extra coursework into my schooling that included more theory and EE classwork. Really I think Purdue should combine the two programs because in the real world EEs just aren't ready to do actual work yet. They still need at least a couple years of training before they are of much use. Whereas EETs have some catching up to do if they want to go to grad school (unless they take the extra theory as an undergrad which I did). But aside from that my liberal arts classes I was forced to take were a complete waste of time and the teachers could care less about you. The grading is entirely up to how much you kiss the teachers butt rather than what you know. As far as people at Purdue the guys are really friendly and they all seem to get along with each other. The girls are snooty as all heck and have their heads stuck up in the clouds as far as their self worth and social life. The boy/girl ratio at purdue is pretty bad so I'm sure that contributes to their attitude. There are things to do at purdue if you're creative but if you're majoring in science/engineering/technology then you won't have much time anyway.
