Major: Natural Resources (This Major's Salary over time)
I am an out of state student from PA. I decided on attending the University due to my major. They have a fantastic College of Food Agriculture and Natural Resources. This school is the same price out of state compared to if I had attended Penn State in state. I am eager to continue my experience here at the University. I have no complaints about my classes and I really wish I liked living here more so I could enjoy my work here. Just be prepared that your TA's will be better teachers than your professors if they speak English. Now onto the most important part of this college experience.. If you are planning on dorming, do not dorm on Saint Paul Campus!!!!!!!!!!!!! This means if your house is not in a 10 mile radius, you speak English, and are open to meeting new people then DO NOT LIVE IN BAILEY HALL. Big mistake on my part, I never visited the University and I am now regretting not living on East Bank. Bailey Hall is empty on the weekends and I feel I would be more apart of the campus if I did not live on St. Paul Campus. Commuting back and forth to Bailey is not too bad if you come and go for a few classes during the weekdays or if you have a car! Although, if you, like me, do not have a car, then you will find that commuting on nights and weekends is joke. You might even find yourself fighting with the bus driver, since they often change the routes at their own pleasure. Yeah yeah, theres Gopher Chauffeur… but it is not always reliable, especially when kids are calling it to get picked up and dropped off on East Bank!! So basically, if you would like to attend any type of event on East Bank consider yourself doomed if you live on Saint Paul Campus. It is a huge hassle and I have found myself walking miles and paying very expensive taxi drivers to get me back to my dorm. Save yourself the hassle and live on East Bank where you can walk to your dorm. And forget about the city buses near Saint Paul Campus due to the stops being a mile or so away from Bailey… Sure they say our food is the best out of all the Dining Halls, but when it is closed then you are screwed due to no food joints being anywhere nearby and no grocery store, the closest thing is a BP gas station… but if you are looking for the "college experience" where you meet new people, (and you will need to meet new smart people to pass)… you will not experience it on Saint Paul Campus. Nightlife on East bank can sometimes be a complete drag and everyone just finds there way to McDonald's. Frats can be fun but most of the time they are either shut down by the cops or completely dead… But look at the bright side! It's always a party at Mesa Pizza…!

Also, seek out help in college. Email anyone you can with all the questions you can about everything!!! Seek out tutoring and therapy. College is tough and you may need time to get used to it!! You will find that advice is one of the most amazing things that will help you through college.

& like everyone said… go invest in a nice, heavy, huge, wonderful Columbia or North Face Jacket. No make that 3 of them… You will be living in them for the next 4 years of your life. Basically, I am waiting for what attending this University will throw at me next.
