Tufts is an AMAZING institution. As an International Relations major, I have had access to incredible professors and classes. It has also been a huge advantage being able to collaborate with and learn from graduate students at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, one of Tufts' graduate schools right on campus and one of the most prestigious International Affairs schools in the world. There are so many student groups, international students, and events to do around campus and Boston that you will be constantly educationally stimulated and at the same time be able to enjoy yourself and friends. Tufts is challenging, but generally not overwhelming. Unlike other competitive colleges, students aren't competing against other students and learn to balance work and play.
