When I applied, I did not want to go to SLU. I had lived in St. Louis all my life and dreaded the idea of four more years in the city. However, despite getting into all of my schools, I chose SLU and do not regret it. My department was wonderful and I have had a number of opportunities that wouldn't have been possible elsewhere. Keep in mind, sometimes you have to search for the special internship or student worker job but it is worth it!
