He cares more about Academic Success than the average student.

Due to the rigorous honor system, many professors are often on a witch hunt for cheating. I was falsely accused of cheating because ONE answer was similar, but not identical to another person's. The other person and I did not even take the exam at the same time. I was failed for the class, and although many faculty members and dean whose advice I sought said they believed me, they were unwilling to get involved and go against the word of a professor. The F brought my A-/B+ average down to a C average. Also, because most students are so competitive, there is little opportunity to make friends in classes, and most social life thus revolves around off campus drinking, partying, and greek life. Although the school is beautiful and prestigious, the atmosphere of arrogance and competition is unbearable.

However, if you can tolerate the pretentiousness and you enjoy greek life and multitudinous traditions, then UVA is probably right for you.
