Abosultely LOVE Clemson! I originally came in with a tentative major and wanted to try different options, but had no idea what. Fortunately, there are so many resources at your disposal and themajority of the faculty/employees/interns are all extremely willing to help (there's always going to be a few that suck wherever you go). So I went to the career center and they had me take some interest and personality tests to evaluate what I would mostly likely enjoy pursuing then went over the results with me. The professors even let me sign up for engineering classes, etc to see if I wanted to pursue a career in that field. Obviously some of the basic level courses are held in a large classroom, but the professors are still quite approachable. But normally within your major, classes are much smaller, more personal, and the professors I've had have all tried to make the material interesting and try to cover other topics or do projects that you and your classmates want to do.

As for socially, the student population is very active, spirited, and inviting. I highly recommend going to large events like the welcome back festival and the club days that you can learn about the different clubs or try completely new things. I made a lot of connections this way, especially since I was from out of state. Heck, just go out and try something you want to and you'll find others with the same interests and/or values as you.

By the way, Clemson always really promotes studying abroad and helps you make connections in the working world via co-ops and interships. If you want the big city atmosphere, however, Clemson's not for you and unfortunately, it can be pricey. Other than that, I would definitely look into Clemson if were you-I've never met or heard of anyone who went that regrets going. Plus football games on the hill in death valley are a must experience.
