If you're from the city, don't go to Geneseo unless you have a car and LOVE to drink. I mean LOVE it. There's nothing else to do.

Geneseo is overrated. It was presented as a school with an emphasis on teaching, but I found most professors to be painfully boring or absorbed in research. The student body is largely career-focused, but otherwise unintellectual. Most buildings are old and unsuited for modern classroom instruction. And forget about the surrounding area: nothing but strip malls with standard chain stores for miles around. Geneseo is attracting a more competitive student body every year but doesn't have the facilities or the faculty to meet their needs.
