UW is a large research university; not a personal small college. If you want to do research as an undergrad, there is not better place in the world to be. UW gets 1.3 billion dollars (yes, billion) a year from the government, beating Harvard. HOWEVER, this is NOT a place to get your undergraduate degree. Go to a smaller university with professors who care about your progress and can remember your name. Here, education comes second with a heavy emphasis on learning through lab work.
