Rice has a great atmosphere and a wonderful sense of community. Because it uses the residential system, each student gets the opportunity to be part of both a smaller, tightly-knit community as well as the larger campus social scene. In addition, Rice provides a variety of resources and opportunities for all kinds of interests and careers. A really great bonus about Rice is they are absolutely fantastic with their financial aid. I am spending less than I would be if I were attending a community college at this point, and their financial aid office is always available and easy to communicate with. The faculty (I have found thus far) are also readily available and usually very enthusiastic about helping students with coursework or anything related to their department.
