I applied to Fordham U for this Fall and was already accepted. I have to go Rose Hills because Im a CBA major.I went to visit Rose Hills last week and I got the feeling that some people there were mostly white and a bit close-minded. I also visited Lincoln Center, and I felt that the people there were nice and more diverse. I would like to attend Lincoln Center, but I can't because Im a CBA major.Im wondering how's life for International Students at Rose Hills. Are Fordham (Rose Hills ) students welcoming with students who are from other countries?I really want to choose the campus that fit me best. I dont mind if I have to major in something else and minor in business.Im the type of girl who doesnts drink that much. I like going out to restaurants, clubs… Im an international student from South America, I would like to have a great college life. I wouldnt like to deal with racist comments.I hope you can give me some advice to which campus will be the best fit for me.Thanks for everything! |
Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
It took me almost the entire year to appreciate the person I had become after going there for my first year of college. Fordham Lincoln Center is NOT your typical college experience, if thats's what you want do not even bother. Fordham shattered me into a million peices, bent and broke me, and put me back together a much more ambitious, apt, and motivated individual. I got a lot of INCREDIBLE opportunities that you could not find outside of the city. Anything is possible. My freshman year was a roller-coaster ride filled with the best and the worst times of my life. It was insane. And I am so glad I did it. Until the last few months I was 100% set on transferring, but now I realize it is where I was meant to go. Give Fordham a chance, there are a lot of negative things about it, but the positive things are SO worth it and not easy to come across elsewhere, and the negative things really helped me learn about myself and people that unlike anyone I have ever met before.Lincoln Center is a hidden gem masked by some close-minded people, shitty food, and no straight guys. If it was not for the city, I would hate it much more. Girls, find your boyfriends/hook-ups elsewhere and if you are a straight guy that does not look like a troll- you will have your pick of pretty sexually frustrated girls. I always was out at clubs and bars, and even visited Rose Hill about once a month or so, the guys there are all straight. It took me a LONG time to find my real friends. YOu will probably go through like 3 groups of friends, but once you find the right people, you will have so much fun and love every second of your life.
