Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I just finished my freshman year here, and I'm very glad I chose to attend this school. They are very generous with financial aid, so don't let the big price tag prevent you from applying.

This school continues to grow in prestige, and it's about time. The co-op program is incredible, and over 50% of students get job offers for after graduation from one of their co-ops. Co-ops also help when it comes to grad school because they want to see experience. I don't see any reason why people would avoid choosing NU because of the co-op program: 1. You don't have to go on co-op. 2. Co-op helps an incredible amount with getting jobs or getting into grad school. 3. You can go on co-op and still graduate in 4 years without going to many summer classes- don't let the spreadsheets filled in with summer classes fool you.

The biology program is very intense. If you choose to major in biology, you will constantly be smothered with a lot of very difficult coursework. Other majors that are non-science or engineering do not seem to be very difficult, from an outsiders perspective.

The social life is great. Reading that athletics and frats do not have a big role in the social life may seem disheartening, but in my experience, not only did I attend many Northeastern frats and NU hockey and basketball games, but even when there wasn't an event going on in the greek or athletic category, there was still plenty to do. Boston does close down early, but there are lots of things to do before it closes down, and then once it does there are plenty of apartments or frat houses to go to.

The people here are, for the most part, very rich. I feel that most people that aren't very wealthy don't bother applying because of the big price tag, but they don't realize how generous financial aid is. Going here was cheaper for me than going to state school.

Overall, this is an incredible school with very strong academics. I'd recommend this school to anyone.
