Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
YCP is a pretty good school, if you are going for; Education, Criminal Justice, the Sciences, Engineering, or Nursing, if not you really have no business being here. For people interested in this major, the school is great! Small class sizes, great professors, and good networking will all help prepare you for your professional career. The school is about 30% commuters, which campus life on weekends and evenings seem dull. However, like all other colleges, school is what you make of it. People who cannot succeed in social environments probably have their own issues. I have had a consistent group of friends my entire time here and had no problem meeting new people. The surrounding area can be unsafe, at 4 AM when you should not be walking alone anyway. Plus, this is a problem you will likely encounter at many colleges/universities around the country. Be smart and toughen up. One thing I really liked about YCP was the mixture of people who were out to party and people who made their fun other ways. I cannot stress enough how much your college experience is really in your own hands. If you are open minded, socially competent, self assure, and don?t have your head up your butt you will probably have fun anywhere. As far as the curriculum goes. Like I said before, know what you want to do if you are coming here. If you are trying to get into a large field like Business go to a big name school where your degree will actually mean something.
