The University of Illinois - Chicago

Do not live in any residence halls besides James Stukel Towers as everything else is falling apart, is too far of a commute, or has a distinct sewage/mold smell to it. East campus may be the closest to all the classes but the smells and garbage dumps placed right outside of windows makes the place unlivable.

Quad:

The quad is a concrete/brick hell hole. It is tiny and has a graffiti wall which nobody is allowed to do real art on. Its like a parking lot without cars.

Cafeteria:

East campus; They are lazy and produce garbage that makes me sick every time I eat there. Only good for grabbing apples and bananas between classes.

South campus; Great food and atmosphere. Sort of like an all you can eat buffet, mostly nice people working there.

West campus; The only good thing there is the pizza, honestly, nothing else.

Social Life:

Unless you are 21 or over, there is almost no social life. The fraternities are all stuck up about parties, the R.As bust little get togethers like a witch hunt, and the apartments around UIC are not big enough to have a real party. Bars around UIC are not horrible. Most of the campus commutes and leaves the dorms for the weekends.

Greek Life:

THERE ARE NO REAL FRAT HOUSES. No mansion-style frat houses at UIC. NO GREEK ROW! If you do NOT want to join a fraternity, come here.

Sports:

NO FOOTBALL

Basketball team is horrible

Soccer team is great

NOBODY GOES TO THE GAMES

NO STADIUM

Academics:

Unless you can understand Chinese or Hindi, do not take a science major here as you will not be able to comprehend your T.As. Nearly every T.A cannot speak English properly yet can take tests like no other.

Completely overrated
