Major: Social Work (This Major's Salary over time)
The social work program was good when I was there but I am hearing rumors it's being combined w/ psych or something. The school itself is nice and the people I encountered were friendly enough but I truly hated the location! Tallacrappy (as my wife lovingly called the town)is a horrible town w/ not much to do. There's a few clubs but they get old fast and the national chain restaurants everywhere get old even faster. We lived in grad housing over by the Mag Lab and it was seriously ghetto. Seriously, it's in the middle of the damn ghetto!! It's horrible and it's close proximity to FAMU makes the town south of campus even more ghetto. Live off campus and in the northern part of the town…close to I-10 so you can leave on the weekends. I was so disappointed by the town that I truly wish I had gone to school elsewhere. Diversity?!?! Not if means assaults, muggings, and drug dealing…
