Generally the faculty is very willing to help, and student orientated, not research orientated. Learning at least in my department tends to be practical, skills-based (not lecture based) and hands on. People ar every friendly here and there's always a great party for those who party, and there's always a movie night or random activity for those who don't. The city itself is progressive but not exactly student orientated, so downtown is not the place where students go for a night out, it's usually the bars or the mall.
