Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time)
Though I have taken numerous classes in high school at this institution and was basically forced into applying and being accepted into this school, I do not have a highly favorable view of this place. I commute to this school daily, whether it be the general consensus of commuters or not, I feel detached from this place. Passing from class to class like a spectre, it feels more like work than education.

The classes are generally simplistic, some of the college specific courses—those that are required to graduate—are a joke. I do speak highly of my major's department, though, they are all interesting individuals who do challenge the student to learn the concepts of the field—this is the only challenge to me, though, in this college. The labs look OK, but some are definitely dated and "feel" antiquated as well. The new humanities center looks modern, but the classrooms in that building feel antiquated as well; one tone walls, not all are completely wired, etc.

The population looks the stereotypical upper middle class spoiled kids, though they don't act it so much during the week, but I don't hang around the campus enough to know what they do after the classes (although its pretty obvious from other comments and reading the local newspaper that the cops always bust something or someone is mugged quite frequently).

I don't eat in the main lunch hall (I've tried it once, it's nothing special), seldom do I actually eat on campus, but when I do, I eat at the small area below the main cafeteria. I think the food there is much better quality, its prepared in front of you, and the workers there are generally nice who recognize you and greet you if you frequent the establishment.

As a commuter student, I obviously drive there everyday. Parking its abhorrent as the antiquated parking garage is under repair at the moment, though I can attest that parking for residents is horrible as well since most of their parking is on west campus—at least a mile away from main campus. The local police departments make daily sweeps of the area for their cash cow of parking tickets and general violations; its quite common to see at least one person pulled over daily around the college area.

All in all, its a value for your money if you are majoring in Nursing, a rather large program here; Forensic Chemistry, a program which I believe is quite limited around the mid-Atlantic region; and the newest building is dedicated to just Engineering majors, though I can not attest to that program's quality. It is relatively cheap, but you get what you pay for.
