I went to UMN by default after missing the start of U of AZ semester while living abroad a little longer than expecting. The campus is big and impersonal. I found it hard to keep friends since most likely you'd only ever have a class with someone onces as there are so many students. The benefits are big parties and big social events to take advantage of. If I could do it all over again now that I am paying back student loans I would still have gone to UMN because it is the best school in the state and paying out of state tuition is not smart economics giving the fact that additional education is usually needed for white collar advancement and student loans stack up quickly. Plus it sucks paying back loans!
