York is what you make of it. There are tons of opportunities on-campus, but you have to go out and find them. If you just sit around and wait to do what everyone else is doing, you might end up sitting around in some frat's basement drinking warm Natty Light every weekend. But if you go out and look for different clubs or events on campus, you'll probably meet a lot of great new people with the same interests as you. The library and fitness center are state-of-the-art, so that makes up for the cafeteria being so bad. Although there are a lot of adjunct professors, some of them are great. For the most part, the department heads are very knowledgeable and helpful, and genuinely want their students to do well. Even though there are a lot of fun things to do in the city within walking distance, I recommend driving, for safety reasons. To sum up: York College has a ton of great resources, you just have to actively make use of them.
