Major: Chemical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
This college is amazing for engineering. It took me a little while to get used to the whole college experience. The beginning classes can be pretty large, but as you get into more major specific classes, the size of classes gets smaller. Professors are nice and willing to help often. They enjoy getting to know students.MTU is the best college in terms of opportunities for students. Counselors are extrememly helpful if you take the time to meet with them. All the coolest activities in the world are provided at college student affordable prices (free-$20). Tech has sooo many events and things to take part in; Mt. Ripley skiing across the river, broomball, frisbockey, intramurals, K-Day, Spring Fling, Safehouse, etc…Not at any point in time was there nothing to do that wasn't fun (including the work). For engineers, right away you're working on projects with a team of three others. All in all, MTU is the best all around, engineering experience. The same rules do apply here as they would anywhere else; "what you put into it is what you'll get out." just enhanced at MTU.
