I thought Northeastern was the school I wanted to go to. It turns out it's not a bad school, but I would change my mind if I could do it all over again:

1.) Coursework is not very challenging: Before coming here, Northeastern somehow gave me an impression of it having a great reputation and quality of education. The business school is the only program that is deserving of this.

2.) Its not much of a work hard school, and many students seem to get left behind: Even though I have a 4.0 gpa, I found myself somehow lost in the crowd. Here, you have to be involved in activities/anything to be qualified as actually doing something. What the students say here is: 'It's all about the experience." If you're looking for a nurturing environment, this can be a bad thing.

3.) Co-op may be less than you expect it to be: The co-op program for my department downright sucks. Many students don't even do co-op. The co-op program for the business school is, however, very good. Engineering has a good co-op program too.

4. No one is interested in what they're doing: This is the aspect of Northeastern that disagrees with me the most. The school is suited particularly well for a some personality types, but not others. At Northeastern, most students are here to have a great time—City life is glamorous, after all, isn't it? Or, they are at their safety school. Maybe that explains why such a high percentage of students transfer out of Northeastern. Northeastern can offer a great college experience that prepares you for the real world, but if you are looking for an education that helps you grow as a person, maybe this is not the right place for you.

If you are thinking of coming here make sure to visit the campus and get a feel for the culture at this school. Some people absolutely love this school, but it's not for everyone.
