I really find that many people nowadays just want to complain about everything. I find myself someone who takes a lot to impress and what not and I find this school great. Some of the previous comments about the school food being terrible; I have heard and even had the food at other schools and it is average just like the others. How can you hate the cafeteria because mentally challenged people clean the tables? The school is growing and construction is always going on. I would rather see that then old buildings not receiving maintenance and out of date facilities like many other schools. The school is a great value and cannot be beat for its level of education given in the state and surrounding areas. As for the school being boring with nothing to do. Guys, wake up and go out and find something. You cannot expect things to walk into your room and tell you to do it. The parties are parties. I will not judge a school based off of the 'party scene' and I dont see many other places having parties any more different than our crowded old house basements where you drink cheap beer. There have been violent acts by the surrounding areas that have been robbing some students but any smart person knows that you should travel in groups when walking into the city-like areas where the houses are located at for the parties. York should be treated like any city because it pretty much is in terms of population. It has its good and bad areas. Any one who complains about that should transfer to a school in the middle of nowhere to be 'safe'. I find my courses challenging and anyone who does not feel that their prof's are motivating them should realize that every school has a prof here and there that is not up to par with the rest. A problem may be that you, the student, is not motivated and just expects college to be nothing but an extended play time and 13th grade in high school. You have to earn your degree and if you cannot handle that dont come to school. In conclusion, this is an above average school with certain departments being top notch such as education, which is part of the reason why I traveled four hours away to come here. I am glad I chose here and look forward to another successful three years.
