The problem with CSM is that it has become the pride-and-joy of Colorado. Coloradoans believe that this is the one school that is able to compete with the East coast schools. However, CSM cannot. It has such a bloated reputation in Colorado that unknowing students like me turn down the Ivys to go there. I cannot see anything that CSM had that CU-Boulder, CSU, UNC, etc. do not have. It is the MIT of the Rocky Mountains, but reconsider what this statement really means. Learn from my mistake. If you want a high-quality education, go East.
