I can't speak for the other departments, but as an Acting BFA, I have had an amazing experience at Emerson. The classes are mind opening and there is a lot of individual attention. The faculty do everything they can to help you grow and are always willing to meet outside of class to discuss or for extra help on your work. The students have a great attitude and there is not much pretension among the actors (at least not as much as among the film students). You'll meet very creative, unique people here and grow in ways you'd never imagined. There are tons of student productions and improv teams. With that said, the administrations is, admittedly, abominable. There are issues with registration every year and the school is run like a money-making machine - little to no financial aid for most people and summer classes are offered to the general public for half the price that we pay. So there is some definite corruption in this system. Nevertheless, I have found that the faculty and extracurricular experiences at Emerson by far outweigh the administration problems. It's a trade-off, but it's worth it. I
