These are bad recommendations! Except for CCC, these colleges are NOT regionally accredited, which is the accrd. that counts. Looking for an accredited (and,I assume, preferably) Protestant Christian university, why not go for Baylour University or Southern Methodist University? Of these two, SMU is a decidedly mainstream and thus very respected Christian University; Baylour,on the other hand, teaches ID, if evolution absolutely cannot be stomached by your fundamentalist views :-) (though you should give it a chance, really!) |
Messiah College also comes to mind, e.g., though it's not Baptist. (Baylour is Baptist, I forgot to mention). |
Major: Journalism (This Major's Salary over time)
PCC is a good school for Christian ministry EXCLUSIVELY. I don't hate PCC; it's a great place for making friends and developing social skills. However, it is an AWFUL place to gain training for the secular world. The rules are restrictive, and the focus is on how you appear to other people and not about who you are. I met some of my best friends through PCC and met my husband by way of PCCBoard.com, but otherwise, would not recommend the school. It literally is Christian boot camp in the middle of warfare. A person can walk in, hoping to succeed, and walk out dazed, confused, and unprepared for life after college. So many people have become agnostics or atheists simply because of how the college treats people. The college also is NOT accredited. (I didn't know this when I attended.) This is important when you are entering a secular workforce. Attending an unaccredited school is like you never attended college. If PCC is God's will for your life, obey Him. Otherwise, don't take your chances if you're on the fence. I'd recommend Tennessee Temple, Bob Jones University, or Clearwater Christian College - all good places for great Bible traning and secular vocational preparation.
