Major: PreLaw and Legal (This Major's Salary over time)
After reading through several recent comments, I found it quite humorous to see how different aspects of the school were adressed on opposite spectrums. One student would say it was the most awsome thing ever while the next would say it was the closest thing to hell.

I am a prelaw major, and I came to the college because it was inexpensive and academically formidable. It's hard to rank the college from a general standpoint, because people are different; majors are different. What I am saying is that if you want to know how far a degree from this college will take you, my answer is it depends. I have heard about computer science students graduating to find out that their education was too obsolete to get them into any respectful career of their choice. That does not mean that education in general at PCC is bad, it just means that if you are looking for a good computer science education, PCC may not be for you. On the other hand, I have heard stories about criminal justice and prelaw students becoming very successful in their lives thanks to PCC. I know of a lady who graduated from PCC, went to Notre Dame and graduated second in her class. She became extremely successful in her vocation because PCC adequately prepared her. That is an encouragement for me, and I will say that if anyone wants to go into law, PCC is an excellent school to prepare you. I said all of that to say this. Do not come to this school blind, or you may find that the school is not cut out to be what you thought it would be. Check your sources, find sources. Honestly, despite the complaints from other students, I believe every major is generally good enough to get you where you want to go in life. The education here is excellent overall.

As far as their standards and rules go, it's fairly manageable. I personally have a problem with the way they push their rules on students. To me, it all seems very arbitrary. The attitude seems to be that if you do not obey the rules or if you receive a lot of demerits, then you are falling away from God. I know for a fact that this is how they think, because I have personally witnessed it. That is what frusterates me about the school. It is a very closeminded school in many ways. The preaching generally rests on a low educated level. You will hear the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over—bored yet?—and over again. I do not want to make myself sound enlightened or above, because I am not by any means; but to me the Bible teaching is very shallow, lacking any substance to intrigue the mind. In class one time I asked my Bible Doctrines teacher a fairly difficult question to challenge some statements he made in lecture. Without really giving an adequate answer, he basically made a circle around the question, not knowing that he ended up making even less sense than before. I am just one tiny example out of hundreds of others. Just ask people, you will see what I mean. I appologize if I sound too negative, but I just say it how it is. Basically, I would compare the college to "Christian" socialism. I see more religion and ritual than actual Christianity. Now I say that with respectful reservation, because not everybody is going to see it that way. Everyone is different, and this college will impact us in different ways. Do not let my review make you think one way or the other. Just have an open mind. Let your expectations be formulated after you attend, not before. Success or failure is not determined by an institution, rather it is determined by the individual. A student at PCC can be just as successful as a student at Harvard. Any student at PCC can end up leading the biggest churches in the world, they can end up becoming the most prestigious people in the world. Don't limit your success by overdoing your negativity or positivity of an institution. Let Christ be your guide through all things. If you have any questions for me, you can email me at Good luck!
