When you're 18 years old, it is incredibly difficult to figure out what you want to do with your life, which also makes it difficult to figure out what college to go to.

I did not enjoy my time at MSOE, some of it was the school, some of it was the environment (it feels too much like high school- it's too small), and some of it was probably because I'm not a typical engineer. For others, perhaps they had the time of their life at MSOE.

For those who enjoy a social environment, large campuses, or beautiful weather - MSOE is not for you. However, MSOE is a challenging school, and you sure do have to work to get through it. Perhaps those skills transfer over into the engineering related professions- I was lucky enough to avoid those.

My advice is that you think hard about what you really want, and then I'd talk to older, wiser friends and family to see what they think and if it fits you. But you better like the snow and the cold.
