Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
Kettering (GMI) is what you make of it. There are many opportunities to get involved in and around the campus. Though Flint is, well, Flint, it also brought us (students) closer together, and I am still friends with many of my classmates. The new "Bell" labs and gym are world class, and you can't get a better automotive engineering education anywhere. Co-op already mentioned. In addition, GMI/Kettering is incredibly well known withing the admissions offices of the best graduate schools in the world: Harvard Business School, MIT (MIT-Sloan), University of Michigan, and countless other top MBA and MS programs are populated with GMI alumni. I have attained multiple master's degrees since graduating from GMI, all at top-5 ranked schools, and I found GMI alumni as classmates every step of the way. You really can't beat that.
