it is a great school to learn both what you do and don't want to do in life. it is grueling and inhuman sometimes in terms of the amount of work. pittsburgh winters can be horrid and give people seasonal depression. but given the last two comments, you learn a lot about pushing yourself, figuring out your real purpose, and learning to have enough fun on the side and exploring the city to balance out life within CMU's small campus. the student body tends to be apathetic, but maybe we're so absorbed in work that it's impossible to look outside… who knows what being at a more liberal/fun school would be like…
