Wow. Some of the comments here shocked me. The first thing to realize is that there are a LOT of students here. We have the biggest greek system anywhere, and probably a thousand or so student organizations/clubs.People who say there is nothing to do are simply lying. Virtually any hobby you can imagine has a club or organization devoted to it. Like paintball? Join the paintball club. Like martial arts? We easily have more than 20 variaties. I'd strongly suggest that any student go to quad day and sign up for things. The city around campus basically has two parts. 'Campus area' and 'not-campus area.' I'll agree that there's not too much for students to do in the area away from campus. However, near campus there are all sorts of restraunts and movie rental places. We also have a great bus system that will take you wherever you want to go.The academics here vary a lot based on your major. The department of LAS tends to be easier than other departments. However, if you're willing to work you can get a lot out of this University. Just make sure you go to class. If you come here, expect to be in a small town type area. Get involved with campus, and actively go seek out friends. No one is going to make you do anything, but they'll provide the opportunities. It's up to you to take them.
