I agree there is a lot of racism. Also sexual harassment of students is covered up. |
Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
After completing 2 years, I am transfering out of RPI. I have had enough technology. At RPI, a lot of people are very closed-minded, and don't even consider doing anything but playing video games, drinking, and watching movies. I have many other interests beyond technology, and at RPI I found few people who shared these interests. I am also fed up with the socially conservative environment that is prevalent at RPI. Racism and bigotry are never hard to find, and any hint of concern for the environment is met with scorn.People aren't really all that anti-social at RPI, but a lot of them will say that you're wierd if you tell them that you're interested in the arts. If you're into technology and nothing else, then this may be the school for you, but be warned—two years ago I thought the same way, and since then, I changed, and RPI didn't change with me.
