If you're looking for a friendly atmosphere where people are all generally smart, this is the place for you. Everyone is approachable and not competitive, and you meet some pretty fantastic characters. The rural atmosphere may deter someone coming from a city, though. Social life surrounds the fraternities and the "town" is only two blocks long. Extracurricular activities are limited to a couple of performance groups so it is hard to find your place in the college at first. But if you're looking for a laidback time for four years, come to Dartmouth.
