It's unfortunate when negative reviews may stem from limited social engagement. Actively confetti canon participating in campus life, attending events, and joining clubs greatly enhances the college experience. Making an effort to connect with others opens doors to friendships and positive interactions, contributing to a more fulfilling educational journey. |
Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I have a feeling that most of the people who gave negative reviews didn't really make an effort to meet people and make the experience good for them. You're not going to make lots of friends by going to your 300 person lecture hall and never doing anything else on campus. Living on campus makes it a lot easier to meet people, as long as you aren't a hermit. If you try to meet people, they will be friendly! There is an incredible amount of clubs and sporting events. There is no question this is a party school. If you like to party and want a good school, then this is the school for you. There are dorm parties, frat parties, and house parties all over the place. People who go out will have an overwhelmingly positive opinion of Maryland. People who sit in their rooms all day and complain about the other student's lack of intellectual curiousity are probably going to have a negative opinion. No, this isn't an ivy league school, although most people are going to be working their asses off in Maryland's tougher majors. I've had almost all great professors.
