'Mines' is a good, but not great, engineering school. In-state tuition makes it a sound financial choice compared to many schools of similar caliber. The school could benefit by expanding its somewhat limited educational mission. Where are the life sciences and biomedical engineering? Why is computer science not within the engineering department? Why doesn't the school seek to put more students in good graduate schools upon graduation? There is a heavy bias towards going into industry at graduation.
