If you don't drink, don't come to this school. I'm not a big partyer and I have had a pretty difficult time here socially because of that. You can find a party any night of the week if you really want to. There are nice people here, but there are also some real snobs. Also, this place is huge; expect 15-20 minute walks to class. There are also 40,000 students here. You get the feeling that you're just a number in the system. You're pretty much on your own; they expect you to act as a responsible adult. Most of my professors have been excellent, however, I've had a few grad students who didn't know how to teach. Most professors have office hours and are generally pretty accessible and willing to help you, but again, there are some who are condescending and absorbed in their own research and projects. This is definitely a school for independent, outgoing people who like to party and have a good time. I will hopefully be transferring out next semester, because I just don't jive with this place. If you aren't really an outgoing, partying type of person, I would not recommend coming here.
