Date: Oct 08 2004 Major: Criminal (This Major's Salary over time) It took awhile, but I finally realized that going away to college, and YCP in itself, were part of growing up. I very much enjoyed the small atmosphere (and don't think I would have lasted very long at a big school). With only one or two exceptions, my profs were extraordinary… bright, helpful, and encouraging. You don't get that many places, especially at a big school. NOTE: NEVER did a TA do the teaching in a class!!!York City itself is pretty grungy, with limited cultural opportunities. It is what it is…a blue collar town. On the other hand, the surrounding countryside - Lancaster, Hershey, Gettysburg…is quite beautiful. Overall, a very positive experience, at least for me.
