I'm not gonna lie, Purdue is a good school for Engineering and some Business majors that allows one to really focus on their studies, but mainly because there is nothing else to focus on. The campus life leaves must to be desired, the surrounding "city" is nothing but fast-food restaurants, ma & pa shops, and factories. The townies are rude and hostile but even if there weren't, there'd still be NOWHERE to go off campus (people actually hang out at Wal-mart!!!). I know the whole premise of college is to study to get a degree, but one has to have something else to do!!! Other than this, the professors are well educated and friendly and the meals aren't bad.
