I am glad to say I do not attend FAU anymore. The financial aid department was the worst at this school. The staff is lazy, unknowlegeable, and very unhelpful. They are quick to tell you "This is all you're eligible for" even though that may not be the case. The academics are average at best. They do have nationally accredited programs such as Social work and Business, but the student/teacher ratio is really bad. Also, a lot of my classes were taught by teaching assistants, not professors. The school also has little school spirit due to being a commuter school in a boring city. Speaking of which, DO NOT attend this school if you do not have a car! Also my books were stolen twice during the year and my roommate's computer was also stolen due the poor architectural quality of my dorm and lack of school security. The only good thing about the school was the cafeteria food which was pretty decent most of the time. Overall, If you want a school with school spirit, individual attention, school security, and intelligent and helpful personnel DO NOT attend FAU.
