Villanova was my first choice and I knew within the first month that I had made a huge mistake. The student body is alot of rich, white catholic kids from new jersey who wouldn't know diversity if it hit them on the head. They are Not as friendly as people give them credit for being. There is NOTHING to do on the weekend, the Radnor Police is out of control, I felt like i was back in 10th grade. The rules about no boys on girls floors and vice-versa, after midnight officially made living at college MORE RESTRICTIVE than living at home. The RAs are there to police you, not to offer guidance and look out for your safety. The academics are pretty good, if you are willing to work, though many of my proffesors were very frustrated by 90% of the class coming in and paying $40,000 for their education but not bothering to read the books or do the work. the dorms are small and many are unairconditioned. the food is junky, prepare to put that freshman 15 on within the first month. me and my two best friends from villanova all transferred to three different school after our freshman year…the only reason i don't regret my year there was because i met these two amazing friends.
