ha, i was the one who asked the webmaster of this site for philadelphia university to be listed as a school last summer, otherwise it was listed as the old name "science and technology" whatever…and no one gave responses. i WAS going to be a first year and didn't know what to expect of this school, but if only PhilaU was listed last year, then i could have read some of these responses and i definetely wouldn't have accepted their admission and deposited my housing money…i never visited the school, instead i went to their gay start program last June and found out first hand how crappy it was. the hall, which is most likely their best hall, "Ronson" whatever…it was completely horrid. no mirrors in their teeny tiny dusty rooms, small disgusting bathrooms to share with an entire hall, worthless AC, and just impossible to get any sleep in. and me coming from a nice sheltered suburb thought an urban city like philadelphia would atleast offer some interesting and unique diversity to the people…NOPE, hardly. not only this, but after testing results were given out, many and i mean MANY of the first years were placed into foundation courses…these courses looked to be extremely pathetic for the people with the same mentality of middle school kids. not a very bright nor amibitious class i was to have. oh, and it's naturally known most colleges have sucky food, but honestly PhilaU had by far the worst of the worst EVER. the start-program in general was retarded and dysfunctional…and after all this, on my car ride home i decided to forget the $500 i deposited to them that wouldn't be refunded, and to just beg another school that i rejected before to take me back. and it worked out a lot better than PhilaU…and now im transfering farther down south to a spectacular school. my advice to many who are even somewhat interested in this university…do what i did and RUN.
