Well Mines is an interesting place. We drink more alcohol per person than any other school in the state including CU Boulder. But that is only because we are having such a horrible time that we must become alcoholics just so we can try to mask our despair. This school has its ups and downs as I am sure most schools do however, its returns are a pitiful attempt at making it all worth while. A Colorado School of Mines education isn't what it used to be despite what some people may say. They no longer focus on being a small personal oriented school and rather focus on greed and growth. The administration is corrupt down to the core and are unwilling to change anything and only look to take away that which we hold most dear. My words of wisdom, If you come here looking for nothing but a good time, don't bother. If you come here looking for a fantastic education, you might as well go to an Ivy. This school has forgotten what made it great to begin with and has succombed to beaurocratic bullshit. If you come here with the right expectations it isn't a bad place, but come asking for the world and you will end up with nothing.
