Everyone here seems to be really smart but not give a crap about higher education. They are mostly rich kids just looking for a degree from a prestigious university so they can become more rich. If you're into the arts, this isn't really the place for you. Athletics dominate. There are so few opportunities for music, and drama that the programs are very cutthroat. The social atmosphere revolves around the greek scene. It's really hard to get off campus and while Bethlehem is a charming city, recreational activities are limited. The University claims to offer plenty of non-boozing activities, however none of these take place on the weekends. Students as well as the faculty and administration pride themselves on the "work hard, play hard" atmoshphere. This is a perfectly respectable philosophy except that the playing leaves the campus littered with beer cups and reeking of puke nearly every morning. It's unfortunate that students are so spoiled they view obtaining a higher education as "work" so dreadful that it must be forgotten about by "playing" so hard.
