Major: Architecture (This Major's Salary over time)
My final decision came down to NYU, Cornell, and RPI. I chose RPI. I'm so glad I did, too. I found exactly what I expected—kids at RPI are just as smart as kids at the other schools, except we're more down to earth. We know how to work hard, AND party hard. We're more about getting a great education, and the kids who're motivated at RPI get the best kind of education they're looking for. Now, be forewarned: most kids come here to pursue highly technological careers. Even our psychology and philosophy department concentrates more on cognitive psych and the philosophy of science, and I'd hesitate to call either department a liberal art. So yeah, a lot of us are your typical geeks. But the majority of us aren't; we're regular kids with great academic lives and wonderful social lives. Had I the opportunity of redoing college, I'd never choose NYU or Cornell over RPI, simply because I feel the most well-prepared, academically or otherwise, and the most satisfied with RPI.
