Major: Music - Performance (This Major's Salary over time)
I love Northwestern and would not have gone to any other school even if given the opportunity. I have been so happy during the past three years it should be illegal. It is a place absolutely overflowing with opportunities to learn, not only academically, but also as an individual. For the most part, the faculty is wonderful and although some introductory-level courses are less-than-thrilling, by the time you've gotten through those and started taking more meaty classes, it is impossible not to learn a lot. The school also offers severl five year double degree programs (I am in one that will allow me to get degrees in both Music and Liberal Arts), and that makes it an extremely attractive choice for someone who either hasn't decided for sure what they want to do or for someone who wants a career in music but still cares a lot about getting a well-rounded education.
