Major: Architecture (This Major's Salary over time)
If you are planning on going into architecture, prepare for MANY late nights, and constant work (no exageration). You won't get as much sleep as you need, and if you expect to do well, don't plan on socializing with anyone but architecture students. They will be your brothers and sisters for the next 5 years. Plan to spend more time drafting and working on studio projects than doing bookwork. The engineers will make fun of you and say your classes aren't as hard as theirs, and they are right, but they don't have studio. If you can get time to spend in Chicago, it is a great city. The diversity of people at this school is amazing. The aesthetic qualities of the campus take some getting used to, but is quite a nice place once you really look at it, especially Crown Hall.
